conversations over green tea // she

components of a fantastic afternoon: church presided by Father John, dim sum, new people, bookstores, finals-studying productivity, peppermint mochas, the exchange of new ideas, challenging old ideas, contructive critiques, wise advice from those who have been there - done that, the never-ending cup of warm green tea.

simple pleasures. those are what sundays are made for.

Saul Williams [part deux]: passages from she

"s(he) stuck a bookmark
in my heart
and walked away"

"no one told me
that dreams glow in the dark"

"only to wake with a new personality
one that doesnt trust
as much as it used to
and wears life jackets
to romantic relation ships"
<-- that's HOT

"and when the mystery is gone
so is the fire"

"haven't i bottled enough emotion
without recieving a letter in return?"

"even my pen man ship
throws thought overboard
into a black ink sea

...and how many thoughts perish
before they reach the page"

"we must each choose our words
as you have chosen your silences"

he's amazing. just call me a lyric-philiac.

sidenote: is green tea a diuretic? or is my bladder just tiny? i probably now owe barnes and noble a good roll of toilet paper.
